I love how the warm orange colors of this character's hair contrast the cooler colors of the jacket and tree. I like how you made it seem soo emotional with only the pose of the character to show the sadness and numbness of the "sacrifice". However, the front part of this character could use a little work, since it seems to all just look like layers on top of eachother- like where the shadow between the open vest and undershirt falls on top of the undershirt. Also, where is the sun in this picture? You usually need a sun to make the shadows seem more realistic. Anyway, I do like this work and think you are quite the accomplished artist.
However, I will only give originality 4 stars because I have seen simple, yet very emotional drawings like this before and am not completely surprised by this one.
